The AOC is as an association of airline companies operating fixed or regular services to, from or via Abu Dhabi International Airport. This is in conformity with the “Airport Handling Manual [AHM] 020 – Guidelines for the establishment of airline operators committee” recommended by the International Air Transport Association [IATA].
Airline companies, which do not meet the requirements for membership as stated in the articles of association and handling companies, may become associated members of AOC. Associated members do not have voting rights.

Our Goals
The purpose of the AOC is to provide opportunities for dialogue, advancement and improvement of all aspects of the airport operations through communications by means of briefings, publications, web site, meetings and other programs.
To facilitate airport operations pertaining the clearance and handling of passengers, crews, baggage, cargo and aircraft the AOC shall dedicate attentive consideration particularly to:
- Ensuring any adjustments to Industry rules agreed upon to overcome local difficulties;
- Referring all matters related to air navigation facilities, operations and services both in the air and on the ground;
- Referring all matters concerning medium to long-term airport development programs involving the handling of passengers, cargo and aircraft;
- Stay focused on cost efficiency by transparency;
- Play an active role in the decision making process.
The Objectives
Internal:
- Create favourable circumstances for the execution of the tasks of its members
- Create possibilities for dialogue, education, development, organize meetings, seminars and other activities
- Inform our members by all means of communication such as website, debriefing, minutes and monthly meetings etc.
- Increase the involvement and participation of the members
- Increase the number of AOC members
External:
- Be part of the decision making process by being a steady and reliable partner
- Co-ordinate contacts amongst members, associated members, authorities, government bodies and other parties interested
- Improve quality and efficiency: take action, lead, act swiftly, inform, be transparent and respond timely
- Benchmark other airports (visit airports, conferences etc)
- To establish a Service Level Agreement (customer service, Baggage, Security, Operation)
- Development and improvement of Operations, Safety and Security, and increase efficiency together with all stakeholders
- Being a full member of the consultation process and aim on cost reduction.
- Safeguard the interests of all members
